My husband (Ed), son (Matthew), and I got to experience Junior Lake in the winter. It was my and Matthew's first trip up to the new lodge and it's impressive and very comfortable! Ed had been there a couple times before for work visits in the area, and to bring up beds/mattresses, and add/address some items that the house needed. I've been to Jr. Lake in the summer, and it's beautiful then, but it's equally so in the winter. At only six, Matthew wanted to wake to view the sunrise, something I would not expect from a Kindergartner! Of course, his Mom and Dad wanted to sleep in...but the views of the lake from the lodge are simply gorgeous and worth waking early to see at first light. We also did some exploring, ice fishing, and enjoyed being outside in the quiet, serene, surroundings. It was the perfect getaway!
